Is it just me or does it really chap anybody else to see species mixed together?
I have confronted a few dealers regarding this before and was told both times it was just for photographic purposes so there was nothing to worry about as far as spreading pathogens between animals.
I was not aware that viruses, bacteria and parasites worked on a time frame! I would assume that transmission could be almost instantaneous under the right circumstances.
I apologize for venting but I think that if you choose to keep or sell these wonderful creatures you should do everything in your power to ensure them a safe and healthy life while promoting good husbandry techniques along the way!
