What size tub (in a rack setup) would a Sonoran Gopher need?

Tigergenesis Mar 04, 2004 07:43 PM

I'm looking at a rack that has 32qt tubs (24x17x6)....is this too small?

Thanks

you'd probably shoot for a 20 gal size. or an underbed storage box.

Couldn't tell ya...every wal-mart sells them though...just go there with a measuring tape...measure them out and you could build a rack to fit them...our home depot cuts wood for free so it's super convienient.

Hope that helps.

just to clarify (because I've only heard tubs referred to in quarts) do you mean gallons or quarts? Unfortunately, I'm buying the rack from someone else and they are 32 quarts (23x17x6).

I do not shop at walmart...so can anyone give me a general idea of what the dimensions of an 11,15 or 20 gallon?

I'm just trying to figure out if that would be too small.

Thanks for your replies so far!

I wouln't get that rack, the tubs are too small. The meausrements 23x17 are taken from the widest part of the continaer, the top. Tha actual floor space is more like 20x14 so it will be too small. Like the previous post said the best thing to do is take a measuring tape with you and measure the floor space of the container. The ones I use have a 34x16 floor space and are the perfect size for my large Gophers.
