Custom caging help

herpin1579 Mar 04, 2004 07:48 PM

Hello,

My bearded collection has grown quite a bit. I want to make a couple custom enclosures with fake rocks. So far I have made a few test rocks out of durabond and sand. I applied the thick mixture onto polystrene sheets. How does durabond do under high temps for say, a basking rock with temperatures reaching 120F. Does anyone have pics of custom enclosures with fake rocks?

Thanks,
Mike

Where cn I get that and how much is it? I am looking into making some fke rocks and cave looking hides and such, do you have anypoblems with it? I am working with Leopard gex, so humidity and heat shouldent be a horrible strain on the material. Thanks!

I got it from Home Depot for only about 5 or 6 bucks. I got the 20 minute bag of Durabond. I mixed the durabond with some play sand.

So far I have had no problems. It is really easy to make. Just scratch the polystrene and apply the mix. Allow atleast 24-48hours untill you introduce it to any reptiles.
