PLEASE HELP!! with pope's pit vipers

newworldserpent Mar 04, 2004 08:29 PM

i have been collecting venomous snakes for many years. i had pick up a breeding pair of pope's vipers about 5 months. i had cycled them with my kingsnakes for breeding. i put them together about 7 days ago. they had mated serveral time for 3 or 4 days. they are still together on the same branches so i am leaving them alone. i don't know much about breeding these snakes. some of my questions are: should i seperate them now, will she lay eggs, will she shed soon as an indacation shes ready to lay her eggs, can i incubate them with my kingsnakes(same temp.& humit.) i'm sure these question sound elementry to breeding these snakes, but i cant find much info about breeding asian pit vipers. i'm very good with my other snake. i know most vipers give birth to live young, but i hear asian pits lay eggs. any info would help. thank you very much, Mark
