After reading the recent posts, (Jeff I am really sorry.), I decided to check the status of my mealworm project. currently I have them in ground oatmeal, this bedding stuff, and calcium. I feed them potatoes, carrots, and apples.
My problem is this: They only seem to eat the potatoes. The carrots come out like new, and were hard to find in the mizture if I cut them up to small, hence leading to mold. The apples, also werent eaten, lost, molded, but were very moist... so the oatmeal started to mold too.
I have the worms in a serlite shoebox like container with the lid and drilled air holes. Water beadlets build up on the sides and lid, meaning that it is too moist, and mold will occur.
I want variety, but the worms and weather aren't cooperating.
Suggestions?
Michael
