She decided to look cute for the camera.
Hopefully I can set her up with my male Axanthic in a few years!

Quotes from guys named Carl:
"Science stops at the frontier of logic. Nature does not, she thrives on ground as yet untrodden by theory."
-Carl Jung
"It is foolish to let singleness of purpose deprive one of the joy and delectation of the many wonderful sights and sounds incidental to the quest."
-Carl Kauffeld
That looks like it has Cal king in its history. Obviously I don't know whether or not it does, but it just has a certain look about it.
I had one like that. I raised to adulthood, and it always looked part Cal. I have a pair of lavender brooksi now that look different than the suspected Cal-influenced one. The head structure is a little different, and there is much more orange on the sides.
Anyway, just throwing that out. I could be full of it. Still a great kingsnake!
Oh wait... They sold that to you as a brooks? I saw that snake in the classifieds. It definitely has a strong Cal King influence. There are supposed to be pure lines of albino and lavender brooks/florida kings... That snake you have looks more like a cal king to me than a brooks.

Its from Don Shores, and I was told she is brooks.
When I compare her to my axanthic, it looks just like the axanthic, which is also brooks. Compared to the photos of my adult brooks, they are the same. Scale counts are the same as on my axanthic, and they are the same age. Same head pattern, same size, etc. My axanthic is pure brooks. When compared to a cal king, she has very different head pattern/scalation and counts.
You need to remember that not all baby snakes look the same as adults.
