New Argentine B&W owner and a few questions please!

attentiveear Feb 09, 2003 08:04 PM

Hello all! Curious of those experienced B&W owners/breeders/dealers: Have any of you had negative experiences with tame tegus, raised since a baby or small juvenile, turning agressive or potentially harmful/dangerous to their care takers?

We are just looking for potential dangers or temperament change possiblities. Any advice or suggestions are much appreicated!

Greg & Trish

All of ours have only gotten tamer with age.
The exception being...sometimes if you take yours outside for periods of time, they get to a point where they do not want to go back in. I had my super tame chacoan leap in the air, mouth wide open at me when it was time to come in from playtime! Had to pull a croc hunter on her to get her back to her enclosure. She was fine within moments after that.
