Just thought I would throw this out to some of the experts on this forum. Our facility currently keeps a small collection of Atheris (squamigera, ceratophera, desaixi) and while we know that there is no known antivenin for this group to date, I believe I read a journal some time ago that there has been some work on using Echis carinatus (saw scaled viper) antiserum for use in Atheris bites (or at least evidence to show that there is a neutralizing effect on the venom). Has anyone else heard this?

Thanks,
