Just got this little guy....

JADE2U Mar 04, 2004 10:10 PM

Just got this little guy tonight. Apparently his previous owner took him to a pet shop because he bought him and could not get him to eat so no longer wanted him.

Good luck with the similis. They can be very difficult to acclimate and keep healthy. I took in a Florida WC female last year and had a horrible time with her...she was extremely nervous and took a long time to start eating well, and would quit eating for several days after something as simple as a water dish cleaning. I adopted her to an amazing woman (I call her the iguana whisperer, LOL) that had her eating out of her hand in no time.
This is CeCe, my adult female, that I purchased as a green hatchling almost 6 years ago. She is still not tame, at least not as tame as most of the Green Iguanas here, but I love her personality.

Thanks. I know I have a long arduous process ahead of me with this one. I have only ever had a couple of these little cuties and I know how hard and painstaking it can be to get them to eat. Hopefully I will have good luck. She had some ticks on her and has what appears to be some absesses. Vet visit is in order. Yours looks great. She is gorgeous. I may be contacting you with questions if that is alright. Thanks.
