I have a 5 yr old male false map. 2 years ago I got a red belly slider female who occupies the same cage. He is definitely in heat all year around. He constantly bites at the female, who does nothing to provoke him, until she is forced out of the water. He will then try to mate with the Jack Dempsey that is in the tank with them and the fish will attack him. He is the nicest turtle otherwise, he follows me around and after being lost outside twice, he always found his way back. He is definitely unusual but is this particular behavior normal? If any of you have had this issue please provide suggestions on how you curbed the issue.
Thanks
