My husband wanted a lizard of his own since I breed chameleons. He decided on a beardie and I did the research (Isn't that the way it always goes LOL ). I bought the tank, set up the lighting and heat, and was all prepared for this little guy to come home. He is now 3 months old and grows daily. So in short he is doing great.

My question though. He was sold to us as a Citrus. What is with all the color variations and why can't I find another Citrus? Since I breed my chams I thought I would breed him but can't seem to find a female. With chams they are named for their locale not their color and rarely are the locales mixed in breeding. Is there another name for the Citrus or am I just not looking in the right spots?

Its a yellow phase that is pale or reduced reduced black (Hypo).

Some breeders add other names to them, but citrus has come to be recognized as a color phase itself. I have see then same color dragons be called Hypo's, Citrus, Lemons, Yellow, Gold and then other breeder line names are added also, like Sandfire Yellow, Gem gold etc
