Well, thanks for the tips Dryguy, (and welcome back!)

I have used chicken part sin the past as a supplement to one of my HUGE males. Remember the huge snake from the april 2002 Reptiles that the little boy is holding? that's the one. He was very old and has since passed.

He would eat ANYTHING. I fed him steaks occasionally. He would take a raw strip steak right from my hand. If I waved it on front of him, it was food. I really think he'd have eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich if I let him.

In my experience, older larger snakes, (especially males) eventually get into that eat anthing at all mode.

but...I personally would only recommned a max of 50 / 50 chicken parts to whole animals.

Snake feed on WHOLE animals. An entire organism like a rodent gives them everything they need. Chicken parts are just protein, calcium and some fat. They need the nurtients only a whole organism can provide.

yeah, i was thinking the same thing while reading below. all carnivores need to digest viscera as well as part of a perfectly balanced diet. i used to feed chicken and fish occasionally too but somehow got away from that and now feed w/ small rats exclusively. it's just easier all the way around for me.........
