sojdas Mar 05, 2004 12:22 PM

ha all, i'm kinda of worried about one of my BD's, he seems to not really like his crickets and silkworms that much, he LOVES greens, and eats an obsene amount everyday but i feel that he isn't putting on enought weight, i feel like he too thin, i don't have any measurements on him. has anyone had any similar problems like this?

Maybe try pellet food, or put the worms in the greens. Mine loves anything edible, so I don't have much experience with picky eaters.

I kinda know what you mean. My beardie has eaten crix but just lately has decided he didnt want them. He eats his greens alot easier than the crix. I dont even have to drop the greens in to simulate any movement to attract him. I just put them in there and leave and he goes right to them on his own. He wont eat the pellets either, lol. I did use a supplement to dust them the other day, so I'm thinking that might be the problem. I'm going to try to find a new type of supplement. You could try the T-Rex bearded dragon foods. The veggie growth formula for on the veggies. Then you will know he is getting all the stuff he needs.

Doesnt Like crickets?? I wish I had that problem today. I went to the petstore and bought three dozen crickets, got them all set up in the cricket keepers and set them on the table to do something. When I turned around my three year old had knocked them over and let them all loose!!! ARGGGG!!! I'm still catching crickets! Lesson learned I wont set them within reach anymore...!

I know what you mean. My son almost dumped 1000 crickets yesterday (he's almost 3). I would have died if they had got out. I caught the cage just as it fell over, so only one got out. Ya really gotta watch with kids, lol.
