WC vs CB....please i need an opinion here.

Milehighherps Mar 05, 2004 03:12 PM

I am negotiating with someone on a 4 yr old pair of unrelated Boas. They are imported WC but have been captives since babies. Can anyone tell me if there is a disadvantage to being WC ? It would mean new blood to my anery/snow project. Advice please. Thanks, susan

In my opinion, the disadvantages of WC are in the initla stages... getting them acclimated and feeding and rid of all parasites... besides that, temperment maybe... other than that, and after 4 years, i think it is a great opportunity. joe

Like Joe mentioned a wc is a problem/disadvantage at the initial importation, but after an extended period in captivity they have no more chance of problems then a cb animal.

Good luck on the acquisition..

My advice would be to get them if you feel its a good deal, after 4 years in captivity the only thing you need to worry about would be temperment, but thats a worry with any new addition... I think that WC can become great captive breeders... Good luck with that project.
