Purple glazed looking eyes

Hello all,
Curious I was holding my little musking machine today ad noticed his eyes are turning "slowly" a kinda milky purple. Do you think he's getting ready to shed... I hope so!!! I would like a souvenir for when I release him at my uncles marsh. Here's a picture of him...

Also, by looking at the picture, do you think he could eat a pinky? The pics oviously enlarged, ... I'd say he's probably a lil less than a foot, and ;ess than a cm thick...

He eats sooo far rosy reds, aswell with JUICY earthworms...mhmmmmmmmmmmm

At that size, he could probably eat a dozen pinkies...but good luck getting him to do it. lol
