Pics - Pastel, Orange Ghost, Butterscotch Ghost + Question

glkherp Mar 05, 2004 11:39 PM

Left to right Pastel from B.H.B., Orange Ghost from B.H.B., Butterscotch Ghost from Bradford Cole Herptoculture. The picture does none of them justice but gives an idea. I just picked up the Butterscotch today and was very impressed, much thanks to Bradford Cole Herptoculture!

Now for the question:

What is the compatibility between different types of ghosts? From my understanding many of them are compatible but would like to hear from people who have bred them out. More or less will orange x butterscotch, orange x green, etc still produce ghosts and what type? or are you going to get double hets?

Thanks,
George Knaack

Here is a quote from the nerd site.

"We work with three phases of this mutation: Green, Orange and Blonde; all are compatible within our group. We have learned the hard way that not all Ghosst are compatible, by breeding two Ghosts together and failing to hatch out Ghosts when we used a new bloodline."

I think I would give Kevin a call and see what he will tell you.

If you do talk to NERD please let us know if the "new bloodline" that failed to prove compatible with his three ghost types was an import or an actual proven line. Per the thread below I'm still wondering if a lot of the incompatibility found so far involves unproven imports, which might not be actual genetic ghosts.
