Yet Another PacMan Question/Worry

ttman360 Mar 06, 2004 03:01 AM

I know I've posted like 3 times with the same problem but I need some more reassurance. I have now had my small (about 2 in ) PacMan for 8 days. He has been burried for most of that time, only coming out like once. He isnt eating or going into his water bowl. I know where he is burried so should I dig him up or just let him be? Also, any other suggestions or commments would be appreciated. Thanks

Oh yeah, he is in a 10 gal, 4 in. bed-a-beast, UTH, 80 degs., water bowl.

Hey, my horned frog spends weeks on end buried. It's just their nature. If you want an easy way to "check up" on them during this period, just lift the tank up and peer at him from the bottom, through the glass tank floor. This does not disturb the burrowed frog, but it does allow you to make sure he is ok.
Continue to refill the waterbowl daily, and he will come out soon. When they defecate, it seems, they always leave their soiled burrowing spot and search out a new one. This is when they can be fed.

Ok, thanks for the information. I knew that they weren't active but I was worried because I heard that he would be hungry more often(like everyday) because he is small. I was just worried that I was stressing him out or that he was acting unusual for a horned frog. Thanks for the reassurance!
