I just posted this, but here's the pic again.

I'm assuming this male could be considered a granite. I have no idea if he's ever been bred. Maybe I'll have some luck with him. Either way, I really like the dark coloration.

thank you for pic---very healthy--brian

same snake. He's just so dark. I'm hoping something interesting shows up in his offspring!

His eyes weren't actually blue for this pic. I think I got a bad reflection...

The first one posted looks to be a true granite also.
This male has a 3500 gram female gravid now.
So we shall see if this is of the co dom form granite, i beleive it is.
Good night
Mike

Very nice snake! I'd like to know if he proves out for you. I'm hoping I get something different from my male. He's been bred to 2 females this year, and if I get any female offspring that look similar to him (if I even get any eggs at all), I'm saving them for my pastel. I'm not counting on it, but it would be interesting.

Thanks, hes cool. I know ralph davis and another guy, proved these co-dom over the past year or two.
Theres no doubt in my mind this snake is genetic.
But what im curious to see is the "super" form.
Who knows what could pop up from these.
look at other codom snakes that produce some awsome supers, i.e. fireball=lucy's, black backs= red axanthic, yellow bellies=Ivories, just to name a few. None of those 1st ones are all that impressive, similar to the granite, but the super forms, are smokin and high dollar.
Definitely something worth sticking with.

Good luck with your babies.

Mike
