Ok, I've never asked anyone else on this one.. but out of all these years I have yet to figure out what she wants.. It's that time of year again, and she has gone nuts wanting out of the tank.. to locate a nice spot to lay some eggs.. I've tried several things and nothing interests her.. I first put her in a seperate container with several inches of sand, fine gravel or even some soil.. with a heat lamp and one side with moisture for her to pic the side she liked.. all she did was want out.. so I got a different container on the edge of the stairs, with a heat lamp and some sand & water, let her loose, and let her find it.. Sure enough she finds it, walks on tries to climb over the wall on the back side, gives up and wanders off.. doesn't even smell or scratch on the surface, but she likes doing that on the carpet. Anyone have any other ideas... she does this more than once a year for different clutches.. I don't keep any of the ones she does lay which usually winds up in the aquarium. way to many turtles out there anyways.
