Lavender Albino Balls *continuation of thread below*

Exotics by Nature Mar 06, 2004 10:22 AM

Hello,

I read the thread below but never had a chance to respond to it. First, thanks to Mike Wilbanks for posting the photo of the Lavender Albino & standard Albino for comparison... something we have not had the pleasure of doing yet

In Daytona 2003, Celia Chien (EbN's Webmaster & Photographer) had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a decent sized Lavender Albino produced by Ralph Davis. Given the situation, she was able to capture what many of us, Ralph and myself included, think is an accurate depiction of the coloration of one of these AWESOME snakes...

For all those out there who have not had the pleasure of dealing with one of these beauties... this is their true color!

What do you think of them?

Thanks...

Hi Sean,

Well I too had the pleasure of seeing Ralph Davis' beautiful Lavender Albino in Daytona last year. Here is a pic I found a couple days ago. Now I know it is not as high quality as your picture but I think you can still see why this bp is so amazing. Great picture by the way, beautiful work.

Very nice. I had hope for more contrast. However... very nice!

Hi all,

I know many of you have seen this girl but with all the talk of albinos I thought I'd post her picture too. Ralph, Kathy Shaw, and I are partners on her and have 3.2 2003 hets. We are hoping to prove out her awesome coloration and crazy patterning next season. She's 1800 grams here - so this girl is not going to fade!

I hope you like her!

WOW! That just gave me a whole new respect for granites! Awesome looking animal. Who produced it?

Christy Talbert Mar 07, 2004 01:56 PM

Hello Bill,

The heritage of this animal is unknown. I bought it from a friend who bought it from someone a petshop owner knew. I have no idea if she is captive born, or where she came from originally. I'm just thrilled we have her!

We have coined the name "granite albino", but I'm not sure it is a granite in the sense we normally think of it. When I look at her I see an alien eye pattern more than a granite pattern.

Hopefully, we'll know more next season after we breed her back to one of her het boys!
