Milk Snake swallowing pine chips

I was feeding my milk snake yesterday and as it finished off the mouse I noticed it had swallowed a couple of small pine chips. Will this cause it any harm?

While this is something to avoid if possible my experiance has been it normally has no negative effects.If you are really concerned you could opt to use a feeding cup placed into the cage with the food item.
