although i dont have any darts yet, i would say those are too big. from what i have researched if you want to feed crickets pin heads or 4-6 day old crickets are best depending on the size and specie of the frog.

let me post this again, i accidently posted before i could proof read to see if i made my self understood. i didnt so here it is proofed:

although i dont have any darts yet, i would say those are too big. from what i have researched if you want to feed crickets you should feed them pin head crickets or 4-6 day old crickets. depending on the size and specie of the frog, those would be the best crickets to feed darts. Although crickets are good for them they should not the their steady diet, fruit flys should be their steady diet with crickets and other insects to add veriaty.

Hey yall i learnt sumpun'! lol

Why would you want to feed a staple of fruit flys instead of pinheads ? It is my understanding that crickets are more nutritious. I think that fruit flys are the most popular staple because of their ease of culturing.

Thats what I thouight too. I used to go to the petstore about 15 miles away 3-4 times a week and spend 5 bucks to get 100 pinhead crickets, and occasionally using fruit flies. Now, I have 11 frogs I do the opposite of that. I buy crickets maybe once a week and split them between my frogs. I now use fruit flies because I have tons of them, as well as springtails, and flour beetle larva. Already after doing this for about a month now, my frogs seem a lot healthier and more active than they ever did with just crickets. I say, use both crickets and flies as a staple if that makes any sense. But thats just me

1/4 inch is about as big as you can get and you can only feed them that big to big frogs like terribilis and bicolor and maybe some tinks
