Ladder rat snake . . . .>

Here's a pic of one of my R. scalaris that I received from Sacha Korell. He'll loose the ladder dorsal pattern when he becomes anadult.

Terry, I've read that they've usually got a lot of attitude (like a pit). Have you found that to be so?

You've heard right John. My male has an attitude, but the female has been docile. I've had them since hatchlings. The male has calmed done, but doesn't hesitate to get an attitude when he feels like it. He must think he's a black pine or bullsnake since he puts on a show that rivals any of them. In some ways, scalaris are similar to pits. They might be burrowers I would think since they have a rostral scale like a pit. The scalaris I have come from Spain and France locales. Good luck.
