I just saw one of these little guys and fell in love. I've looked around for some info on them, and can't find much. Anyone got some info they can share?? What do they eat, how large do they get, temps, humidity.. All that good stuff. Want to make sure I can take care of one before looking into buying one.

uroplatus in general thrive around 72 degrees. if you get above 78 it can kill them if it is for a very long period of time. they need very high humidity ( 70-90 %) soft substrate because they like to dive to get their food. it is unknown whether they need full spectrum or not some say it is beneficial and some don't use it at all. that's about all the info i can give you without a specific species.

Just in case nobody has or gets the issue Neil Meister a member of the Global Gecko Association Board and Founder and President of the Novia Scotia Herpetoculture Society. Who also for his work in with herps in 2002 recieved the Commemorative Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Keeper and breeder of over 20 species of geckos, specializing in Uroplatus is hopefully (by me By me) publishing a comprehensive guide to leaftails. In the summer of 2004. If anyone reading this happens to know when and where to purchase this when it appears please post.

Thanks, Eve. Ya know I noticed that after I read through a few back post. I was highly impressed by his article in Reptiles magazine. I about fell out of my chair when I put 2 and 2 together. I just got a computer up and running again after about a year. I plan on contacting him soon. Thanks again.
