GECKO WITH A BROKEN ARM

thegeckolady Mar 06, 2004 06:08 PM

hi everybody,

my gecko has a broken arm, it is the upper arm between the sholder socket and the elbow. this happened during mating, he had such a hold of her by the arm that he broke it. I had these 2 together before with no incident. question is, what do i do? Do i take her to the vet? can they do anyting, besides tell me her arm is broken? did anyone have this happen before?
should i just leave her alone?
the break is truely a separatiion of the bone from what i can see not just a crack.

thanks

i rmember a while back i had a really big male who brok his front left arm, i treated it myself it was fine 6 weeks later, what i did was..i took gause(sp?) and put his arm on the side of his body and began to wrap the gause around the arm and the body, this acted as a sling for him, he wasnt able to move well but he still got around to eating, if you dont really understand what im saying i'll post a pic for you, or email it to you

......so basicaly just "tie" the arm to her body to restrict movement? I will try that, thanks!
