Yearling corn regurgitated twice

Passport Jun 10, 2003 08:30 PM

I have had this 1-1/2 yr amel corn for less than a month. Twice now it has regurgitated it's fuzzy mouse three days after eating. I have read several posts concerning this. But unsure of exactly what to do to help this little guy. He/she is in a rubbermaid w/aspen on edge of heat pad. Did I see someone mention grapefruit extract? Am I supposed to skip a week feeding? And then feed something smaller that before? Can disease cause this? Or is this most likely stress related? Anything else I should be observing for? Thanks.

Yes, skip a week or two and then give him something much smaller. He needs time to heal...regurgitation irritates the system as digestive juices come back up with it, naturally.

Also, you might want to take away the water dish just after feeding if he likes to soak after a meal..it can make them too cold and lose their food. If your snake is doing this take the dish away for a couple days to make sure he's going to keep his food down.
