Any tips of seting up for breeding mice?

Hey all, I have alot of snakes and a 2 foot gator and im geting a little tierd of buying mice. Im looking at breeding them, What would be the best to breed, Rats or mice? I have alot of old water bottles and other roadent stuff so i shouldent need alot. Well thanks alot

Also whats the best and humane way to kill alot of mice and rats? Head wacking seems a little to hard on the mouse. (i had to kill a rat last week like that, that had to hurt)

Boaboy,
Check back at the top of the page for "archive of old forums". We are constantly discussing these issues.
If your snakes are large enough to take fuzzy rats, I would stick with rats. You can always start a mouse group if you get snake eggs to hatch. They'll be ready in plenty of time.
Rats smell less, bite less, are generally better moms, and get along with each other better than mice.
There are several postings in the archives on CO2 systems.
