Turtle96 Mar 06, 2004 10:21 PM

I was going to mark my russian tortoises and three toe box turtles for breeding reasons. I was wondering what kind of paint or pen to use?

you can always use nail polish is strong and durable but it can also come off if u need to re paint

I've used White Out. It is nontoxic and easy to apply. It does come off easily particularly after a rain. It is still visible but faint.

I would fear that nail polish would interfere with the scutes shedding properly. Is that not the case?

Thank you,

Brian
