Bletcher and newest babies (PTS)- Brian? Any guess?

jess b Mar 07, 2004 02:45 PM

Bletcher is the dark top one- he/she is a little over 2 years old. The little guys on the bottom are about 5 months old.
Too young to measure and check ratio of head/body for Bletcher for sexing guess?
Anyone else's guesses are most welcome.
cheers, Jess b

LEEWAY CORUCIA RESEARCH CENTER (LCRC)

Hi Jess,

I'm doing this awkwardly as I have the phone up to my ear as I am talking to Sherri.

Bletcher looks and measures Male C/A =.80 in this picture.
The middle and bottom babies both look and measure female C/A= .70, .73 respectively.

Your babies and adults look beautiful. The mulberries show.

Thank you for asking my help. I enjoyed doing this for you. I hope it helps.

Sincerely,
Brian
LCRC

I thought Bletcher was looking male, and Candy has been acting like a male- but Jenny too? What am I to do with all of these teenage boys??? I had planned to send any sub-adult females with Dan F's unrelated group when we ship them to him on the east coast (I've been doing long term pet-sitting of them). Maybe move some over into Dan F's cage when it is empty and find some females to set up a new family.
Cheers, Jess b

Hi Jess,

Look on the bright side though. Like Brian says it's not 100% &, to be honest, I got Candy as a male & Jenny as female but I never practiced nor observed Brian doing a C/A on the computer so i'm not sure whether I did it right. Your pics were great & even observing head shape, I still thought you had one of each gender. Good luck (you'll need it if they're both males!)

You mentioned Dan, how's Thelma, Louise & Archie doing? Wasn't Thelma expecting?

Take care,

Sherri
