i got Itsy the other day and i have noticed the orange marking near the base of his tail. I was wondering if he was just a normal or something special. Thanks.

Great looking leo you got there, it looks like its starting to have a little carrot tail. You may have to wait a few more sheds or months before you can really see his true colors. I think it has to have a considerable ammount of orange at the base of the tail to be considered a true "carrot-tail" but wait and see, it most likely will grow with the gecko. Good luck, and take good care of the little fella.

That gives him a nice sounding name. Orange at the tail base doesn't mean carrot. But, only time will tell how that tail shapes up. But, for certain, he is aberrant.
Enjoy him.
