situla from Crete

Hi

As promissed some time ago i hereby show you a picture of my adult female from Crete just out of hibernation.

Hope you like, she is very nice and approx 70-75 cm, and laid her first eggs to my knowledge in 2002.

Ratsnakes:bairdi, bimaculata, climacophora, dione, longissimus, schrencki, situla, subocularis, vulpinus gloydi, vulpinus vulpinus
Other Colubrids:Heterodon nasicus, Lampropeltis t. sinaloae, L. p. woodini, Lamprophis fuliginosa
Constrictors:Acrantophis dumerilii, Antaresia maculosa, Epicrates c. maurus, Eryx colubrinus, Lichanura t. myriolepis, roseofusca, saslowi, trivirgata, Python regius.
Lizards:Cyrtodactylus consobrinus, C. quadrivirgatus, C. papilionoides, C. pulchellus, Egernia cunninghami, Lepidodactylus lugubris

She's a beauty! At what temperature do you hibernate your situla and for approximately how long? Hope she gives you another clutch this year!

She has been hibernated at approx 7-8 degress Celcius for 3 months. Hopefully that should be enough although i know many hibernate them a bit longer.

Your situla is very pretty. The Crete variety seems very light, both in background and saddle color. My situla and others I have seen are darker. Here is a photo of one of mine. Any idea where she is from?
