How long is Vlad STL, and how old is he now? These new Mali kids I have are supposed to be about 2-1/2 years old (estimate), but they seem so small! Your photos of Vlad make him look about the same approx size as these guys, but that can be so deceptive.

Anyone else have Malis of this approximate age? How long are they? Weights?

Thanks!

Torey,
Vlad was 18 months old when i got him from Doug....so he's now 23 months old. not quite 2.

Vlad is almost 9 inches STL length....not sure of STV length.

I'm also not sure of his wieght....i can wiegh him when he decides to come back up ( right now he's sleeping in his burrow ) i will post his weight though when ever i can get him to come up. i know he's of good weight...just not sure exactly what. sorry.

he should be up sometime today to eat

Well, I actually cracked out a tape measure today and tried to get the new kids to hold still. They sound about right compared with Vlad - they're supposed to be slightly older and Turtle is a little over 9", and Tank is about 11".

They're longer than I thought they were. They seem so small compared to my Saharans - that, and I've seen one of Doug Dix's breeders (Joker) at a show, and he's huge. I would love if Tank got to be that big someday!

sounds good!! the best time i've found to measure them is early in the morning before they warm up totally so they will sit still longer.

i saw one of dougs breeders at a show too and it was quite big!!!!! i don't know which one it was though, but i am too hoping that mine gets that big too!!!

glad to hear they are of a good size and are doing great!
