I just got a new Veiled Chameleon and for some reason he has just been staying in the same place all the time. Do you think there is something wrong with him?

You need to provide a number of answers for people to try and help.
What type cage and how big is it?
Do you have plants in it so it can hide and feel secure?
What are your cage temps?
Do you provide humidity if so how?
What is the age of your veild?
Where is the cage located in your house?
And what's the age & sex? And how often and for long do you hydrate it? Andwhat are the temps at the basking spot & elsewhere in the cage. And how high up is the cage? And what are feeding & are you supplementing too much (or not enough)?
Chams don't move around all that much but since you're clearly new to chams, this is a good opportunity to review all aspects of your husbandry. So give us the details and we might be able to help.
You have to understand when owning a chameleon that they aren't really active creatures. You also have to be patient. Your cham is probably just trying to adjust to it's new surrondings. I would give it a couple of weeks, it should start exploring it's new home if not you have a problem with your setup. Also, i'm not aiming this directly at you but for anyone, if your going to buy a cham PLEASE PLEASE learn about them and research them BEFORE you buy one!
HEY!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN STUDYING CHAMELEONS FOR 6 YEARS. I KNOW THEY AREN'T ACTIVE ALOT AND I AM PATIENT. SO WHY DON'T START STUDYING MORE ABOUT THESE CREATURES.
Woah man, no one knew that because you didn't say that. You still should have specified environment and state of the animal etc. and you should have known that if you have been studying chameleons for 6 years. I really don't know why you're asking the forum what is wrong with the cham, 6 years of experience should probably bear the answer to that. I woudln't know what is wrong with him because you still havn't specified environment, state of the animal etc, and even so i don't think I would know.
Just making sure you are more clear next time you post...
sorry, i didn't know that you have studied them for 6 years. No need to get mad or anything. I was just trying to help.
Respectfully asking:
Does "studying = keeping"? Just curious because there's a big difference.
