Update on "Sickly BD"

Zach_MexMilk Jun 10, 2003 10:07 PM

Hello. Before I start, thanks to the people who replied to my earlier post on this topic.

Well, after some time looking at photographs and such, I do beileve the "Yellow Stains" is the yellow bacteria thing. I will treat it with a light coat of Lamsil until I can set up an apointment with the herptile vet.

As for the feeding, I do feed lots of leafy, dark green leaves (I like to vary them as well). He eats crickets, and I guess I'll keep Mealworms as a once-ina-while meal. I just bought some Miner-All indoors and will dust his crickets everyother week.

As for the skinny looking part, he just looks skinny when he walks with his belly off the ground. He goes to the bathroom regularly, with the coloration mostly dark black with white (soild also).

I guess the most I have to worry about now is the yellow bacteria thing. I will keep this topic updated for you guys and gals. Thank you all-Zach

The white stuff in his poo is the urate...basically a solid form of 'pee'. Sounds like he is eating well and right now you really only have to worry about that yellow fungus. Keep us up to date.

Well, today I just cleaned out his enclosure, washed the tank down and replaced the bedding with newspaper. I removed branches, etc and placed clean rocks and cermaic pots for a basking area. All he has is the basking area and the food bowl.
That is his "hospital"

I just applied a layer of Lamisil Jock Itch Cream on his yellowish parts. Lets hope it works-Zach
