Can poor muscle tone be a sign of internal parasites?
I realize I will need to check stool samples to be sure, but I was wondering if this sounded like a possibility..
thanks for any input here.

Yes... definitely! The lack of muscle tone could be from the snake trying to conserve weight and starting to "eat" their tones muscles and hold on to their fat supply... Fecal samples would be a good thing if you think there’s a chance of parasites. The other thing that causes a lack of muscle tone would be obviously overfeeding an animal, or not giving the animal enough room to stretch out their muscles an basically if you have a really big snake in a little cage that will cause it too... we just learned about this stuff in my genetics/evolution class and I hope that I helped at least a little... good luck!
