hogg boa, weird poop shed

ortega Mar 07, 2004 09:23 PM

Ya I dont even know, but...I got home today and she had shed, but not totally. about an inch above her vent the shed had ripped and stopped comming off. I was trying to take it off, but it was not working well. Anyways, I noticed she was huge around the vent and realized she was going to crap, so I left her. when i came back she had taken the hugest crap(this is my first boa, and it was not that big last time), but i could no longer see the non-shed skin on her. I cannot tell if the last part of the shed came off or not, because it looks gone, but i can't find it in the cage. Could it have been in the poop or did it not come off, will it be bad if it did not come off?

Ahhhhhhhh well lets see, definitely could have come off when she pooped... that could be an possibility... The other easy thing to do would be to give her a luke warm bath for about 15-30 minutes and rubbing the vent, don’t worry about the poop size, sometimes they could just Go and Go.... My hoggs have taken some of the biggest poops...but i would try the bath and if there is no skin there then when you rub nothing will come off and if there is thennnnnnn it will rub off in the bath... anyways i wish you good luck keep us updated...!

Sincerely,
Rose Hipskind

guess it did come off with the poop and i just missed it. There is no sign of not shed skin at all, so i guess it is off. Strange i did not notice skin in the poop, but guess i did not inspect it that good. hehe
