eggs laid!

boastud Mar 07, 2004 10:53 PM

Well my screaming yellow female laid her first clutch this afternoon. There were 15 eggs. I have a huge egg laying box for her and what do i come home to find......scattered eggs on the hot spot! There was one definete infertile, and about 4 or 5 that got toasted. She is such a pill. They are all in the incubator, so we will have to see.

Sorry about the ones you lost but congratulations on the laying.

Oh bummer.. Sorry you lost a few of them. Hopefully they'll be all right and hatch for you anyway. Good luck with the eggs, and most likely she'll give you some more. This happened in an egg laying bin or you made a laying area in the cage for her?

they are spoiled, they are in a 7' x 4' cage. I had a 68 qt tub with mix of sand and soil, but chose not to go in there.
