Thanks Jane =) Yeah, I still have her. She may have eggs again soon seeing as she had them last year at this time. Although last year they looked fertile to me...so maybe she won't (do they have eggs every year no matter what?)
She's doing really well...too well. She's getting HUGE. I she's gone from 4 - 8 or 9 pounds since I've had her (I can only weigh her on the bathroom scale so it's not very accurate). She seems like she's always shedding one part or another (is this normal? I wasn't sure.)
Theoretically I'm still looking around for another home for her. Her cage is only a 3 foot square and 4 feet high so 36 cubic feet and I know she deserves better but it is all I have space for. She does really well outside so when it is nice out I study outdoors and let her and Boulder run around and eat my plants--we don't really have a lawn it's just random plants including nasturtiums, dandelions, miners lettuce grass and sourgrass (wood sorrel). I don't let them eat too much sourgrass however because it has oxalic acid in it that's not good for them but I can't keep Boulder from getting all the yellow flowers. Surprisingly everyone--Boulder, Nova, my girlfriend's dog and my brothers cat--all get along quite well.
Glad to hear the egyptian uro's are doing well!
Peter
