im tramatized!

i am a first time bearded dragon breeder and my female has layed 3 clutches of eggs. there has been one egg that has looked bad for weeks so i took that one out tonight. there was also an egg that has looked deflated for a few days that was about 30 days into incubation and i couldnt see any red veins. i have read no matter how bad the eggs look if they arent turning colors/smelling dont take them out of incubation. i decided to disregard this info, big mistake! i took the eggs out ot freeze them just incase and i decided i wanted to see what the eggs looked like inside, they were dead anyways?, wrong. i opened the first and out pops a smelly hard mass with no surounding liquids at all, definately dead. so i went to the second egg, opened it up with the knife and it didnt smell, i started to get worried. it was too late now if it was alive, i squeezed the contents of the egg out and out pops a dragon head and tail, clear/seetrhough in color. i cannot believe i killed one of the babies. please take this as a lesson, all of you, dont throw out any of your eggs no matter how bad they look. and if u do decide to throw themout dont decide to disect them even if u r certain they r dead freeze them and throw them outont disect them! i feel like a fricking murderer now. i love my reptiles and cannot believe i am resbonsible for ones death. again, dont throw any eggs away.

Sorry to hear about your loss...only real consolation is at least you took the precaution to freeze the egg instead of just tossing it out where it may have hatched, putting the hatchling in a bad spot. Good luck on the rest of your eggs.
