Sadly, Houdini lost the battle...

veronicag Mar 08, 2004 11:22 AM

I just thought I'd let everyone know that Houdini passed away Saturday morning. It appears he went in his sleep. At least he can rest now and won't be suffering any longer. We tried everything that our two very knowledgable reptile vets recommended and then some. He was just too weak for the meds to work. His little body needed to rest.

Everyone here at this forum has been so caring and thoughtful in regards to Houdini and Maya. I still can't believe they are both gone - and so quickly too.

Take care,
Veronica

I'm sorry, Ronnie. You told me on Saturday, but I was so excited about the new Malis, I'm not sure I expressed properly how sad am. It's an awful thing to lose a loved pet, and you worked so very hard to keep him going. At least now he's at peace, and you'll always know you gave him every chance in the world. I hope all your other critters are doing well!

I'm so sorry. I know how well you took care of him (and her too). You know you made their lives better while they were part of your family.

OMG!!!!
i'm so sorry!!!!! i can't believe it!!!!! thats so sad.

just keep in mind (as u said in your post) that you did all you could and you did more than most people could of/ would of done. you fought hard for their little lives and they just weren't ment to make it.

i know this sounds kinda...i dunno, unsensitive, but, i think that if you take up doug on his offer that the malis will be better for you....they acclimate alot easier and they are very active!!!!

well, we all know that houdini went on to the rainbow bridge....and he's doing much better now.

i'm really sorry though!!!!!

I am so sorry to hear about Houdini. You did your very best to help him, but sometimes even our best efforts can't help. He is resting in peace now with Maya in uro heaven.

I am very sorry to hear that Houdini didn't make it also.

Please remember - you made both their lives better while you had them. You did everything you possibly could. Unfortunately, there are times that we just can't make things better, I hope you understand that in your head - even though your heart will still be hurting - just remember the good times!!

I'm really sorry Veronica. It's so hard to watch them go through something like that. At least he's in a better place now. Rest in peace Houdini.

RaderRVT Mar 11, 2004 12:22 AM

He had the best possible chance given to him and that is all we can do for our loved ones. Take care. Rest in peace Houdini.
