I will be taking a trip to northern Cal. in late may. I will be traveling down HWY 101 to Middletown on SR 175 just north of the Bay area and then traveling back up I-5 to Or. and back to Wa. I was wondering what I might encounter at that time of year and if there is anyone in the near area that may want to go herping. I am definately interested in GB gophers and Cal. Kings.

Drop me an e-mail and I'll set you up with some good places to check along that particular route. You can find Ringnecks, Gophers, Cal Kings, Cal Mountain Kings, Rubber boas, Night snakes, Sharp tailed snakes, Garters, Northern Pacific Rattlers, Racers, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few more types of snakes in May up in these parts..
