Where can I get Para-Zap?

Anson Mar 08, 2004 03:12 PM

Would I be able to find it at the Tampa show or is there a web site for it? I wanted to try it on my chams and beardies.

I'd be very careful with this stuff. Their web site says "Because Para-zap is made of 100% natural ingredients, overdosing is not a concern." As far as I'm concerned, anyone who makes that statement is either a huckster or a moron. You can overdose on anything; vitamins, minerals, even water. When given in high doses (i.e., higher than typically found in nature) you are giving a drug (whether it was made in a test tube or a leaf is irrevelant) and that drug can have pharmacological effects quite different from the same substance when given at more "natural" physiological doses. Additionally, there are a huge number of "natural" poisons. (Socrates will attest to the toxicity of hemlock, for example.)

Maybe this stuff works and maybe it doesn't. I don't know. But I do know that the implication that over-dosing is impossible and there are no deleterious side effects is almost certainly false.

Caveat emptor.
