QUESTION REGARDING FEMALE DRAGONS

warbril Mar 08, 2004 04:42 PM

I have a question regarding female dragons that are housed together.Do females headbob each other?? I thought this was a male/female behavior?? would a female headbob another female if they were caged together???

It's a dominance behavior as well. They are just trying to establish a pecking order. If it gets out of hand or violent, separate them.

thank you for your response.

Just seems wierd that my dragon (I have had her for 2.5 years) is the one being submissive and the one that is new to the cage is being dominant!

they definitely do. I acquired 2 girls awhile ago, one turned very dominant. They had been housed together for 2 years. Now one of my girls and male are together with no activity, dominance or breeding, and the agressive one is on her own.
