You could keep a smaller snakes such as a kenyan sand boa, Rosy boa, Ball python, cornsnake etc in it..But I don't think the floor space will offer enough room for the entire life for a ball python or a cornsnake.

You shouldn't plan your pets around the equipment that you already own. YOu should do your research first. Find an animal that you are interested in. Then do more research on that animal. Find out
how long they live
what they eat
how often they eat
how big they get
how quickly they get that big
and basically everything else you can possibly find out before you get the animal. Buy a ball python book. Take it home and read it. Think it over for a couple weeks while you talk to some BP owners.

Maybe you will decide that you want to spend the extra money for a different animal. So, you're out $8 for the BP book; look what it saved you if it wasn't what you were looking for. You can give the book to a friend later that is in the same spot. If you do decide on a BP, then you know what you're getting into by this point.

The point is, you get the animal you want, you don't just put something in a vacant space. There are many other uses for that empty tank too.

Good luck,

I agree with you totally on that.. I can't come close to counting the number of people you see who end up getting a new pet because it fit in a current setup, to only end up getting rid of it, or worse neglecting it because it isn't exactly what they are interested in..

I also agree to go and pick up the ball python manual by Philippe de Vosjoli.. It is full of great and helpful information.
