dusting mealworms...

8tay8 Mar 08, 2004 05:55 PM

how do ppl here dust their mealworms? i have this cricket duster thing, where you shake it til they are dusted, but when i give them to my leo, we have to wait a while until the mealworm actully starts moving, because it became retarted and uncauntious. but any way, how do ppl here dust them?

thanks!

Honestly, I take all my mealworms out of the shipping materials, and put them into my own mix of Gutload and MinerAll. When the mealies come out they have been crawling around in the dust and they are already coated. I kinda thought that's how everyone did it..

I keep mine in a bin with their oats and fruits and veggies, then when its feeding time i transfer the amount i need to a seperate container that just has calc dust. And i shake the buggers.

I just shake some calcium into the dish, and dump the mealworms in on top of it. They crawl around and become dusted on their own.
