Tub size?

dangerously Mar 08, 2004 07:02 PM

I've found two sizes of tubs I can build a rack around. 35"L x 16"w x 6"h, and the other is 39.5"L x 19.5"W x 6"h.

Which would be recommended for breeding? I was thinking about using the larger tubs (they're the types with little wheels for under-bed storage, but the "wheel wells" are small (so they don't take up much space inside, and the wheels themselves will pop right off (wheels are only about 1" diameter). My biggest concern is heating the larger tubs. I know I can hear the 35 x 16 tubs with an 11" piece of flexwatt down the back of the rack, but I don't know if that'd be enough for the 19.5" wide tubs. Any recommendations? Are the larger tubs just overkill?

Thanks is advance.

I think the heating requirements will not differ significantly between the two tubs. However, the smaller tub is plenty large enough for balls.
