Another dominant female question...(possibly gravid)

chakup Mar 08, 2004 07:47 PM

I purchased a female about a month ago that can be very dominant, is this a trait beardies show when gravid? I ask this because she has a very big belly. I put her in a different enclosure today with moist sand/dirt and she was digging all day. I can't necessarily feel egs, but it does feel like there is more their then in my others. I can post pics if it might help. Also where is a good place to get a hovabator from?

Mood swings while pregnant, naaa. Never had kids before have ya? LOL It's very normal for her to have some moods and be more territorial, especially the closer she gets to laying. I've got 1 female that I have to get the male out immediately after he gets the job done. She fine until afterwards then will attack and took off the hand of one of my males, guess no means no with her.

good place for incubator? I wasn't planning on having eggs this soon. I have done my research but wasn't quite ready yet, thanks.

Depending on where you live, you can get them at Farm and Ranch supply stores (chicken incubators). Or you can order them from any of the big reptile supply places like LLL etc. You need the still air kind (no fan). Expect to pay anywhere from 20-40 depending on where you get it.
