They seem to be everywhere now a days. LOL
I am suprised that would even do anything. With that thick hide reptiles have, it would take alot to poke it through into the muscle.
Here's yet another, good one, I think!

Lady boys?Because if not, shes deffinately got bigger b0||0cks than me!

Oh wait actually if I search the net, I see alot of pic's of people with Komodos.
Strange, I also walked up to a wild gator before and petted him. I still got my fingers.
There seems to be alot of whisperers in this world? or are people just easily impressed?
I take it thats a wild Komodo in that pic, since it is sorta thin and dehydrated. Pretty cool stuff to see the attitudes of animals. Better then everyone showing them as blood thirsty monsters.
I certainly got impressed by her. Yes, it's a wild dragon, I'm actually impressed by you now, because other people usually say "that's just an old lazy fat captive dragon", when they see these pictures.
Here's another picture, this is really 'wispering'!
Yes, it's lovely to see them in a different way than just showing their blood thirst. I just love them!

Well thats cause I have seen many people get close to Komodos. Among other monitors and animals.
I myself have worked with big cats etc. be it in captivity though, but they still do have the wild tendancies. I have scars to prove it. haha
The thing I see in those pics you posted is a thin tailed animal in the other one, not a fat animal at all. This one clearly has a mouth problem, although it may not be nothing since they tend to have bloody mouths. But it could be something since the nuckles on it's head a caved in a bit, and the eyes are half closed. Just makes me wonder how healthy the animals are she is taking the pics with.
Also is this in the heat of the day when they are ready to move about and look for food? I very much doubt it.
It is nice to see she shows them in a different light, but one should keep in mind, she is not taming a beast that is out to eat her. She is going to the ones that are allowing contact.
She had contact with quite many different dragons, as far as I understand. That included the biggest and strongest male in the flock. She went to the middle of the Komodo Island, to seek out the biggest ones. And they are propably also the ones least used to be around humans. The pix are from a 12 year old video.
She didn't get a single scratch from them, the only time they got dangerous to her was when she once tried to feed them some eggs. Then one of them chased her and she had to run for her life. Otherwise they were just calm.
She stayed on Komodo for a few months, so I think she had contact with them at all times of the day. She was often around several of them at once, they could have killed and eaten her just like nothing. But they were just like our tamest and most docile savannahs! Was really amazing!
She did film a feeding where the dragons took down a deer and 15-20 of them flocked to feed, but I don't think she petted them while feeding though, LOL! But she gave them water from a dish and a bottle, and sat there petting their heads while they drank.
She wrote a book about the trip, there's also a great picture on that:

That confirms my thoughts. I was thinking everyone was saying she is the only one that can do this, that she posessed a godly power. LOL I know sounds silly but from the wording of some they seem to think this.
But from what you said it is just she chose the ones that did not see humans often. Which means it is easier to get close to them they do not know us or fear humans. So instead they just try to figure us out. Now if she went to the spot where they have seen hmans I am sure they would of either thought hey free lunch from another human and chased her, or would fear her.
You also metnioned she was chased away. So therefor she does not simply do some magic and clam the grumpy animals into submission.
It all makes perfect sense to me, and just hope others understand this when they think of a whisperer. it's not about an ora, or magic powers. It's all aboutunderstanding animal behaviors.
An article I read about a trip to Komodo to collect blood and saliva samples of the dragons described how the hypodermic needles just snapped when the researchers tried to poke them through the lizard's skin. Tough critters, those dragons.
