vibrating tail?

lizzylizard Mar 09, 2004 02:05 AM

It just won't end. I heard a vibrating noise in the other room, only to find out that it was Rex's tail. Shaking like a rattle snake, for about 10 seconds at a time, twice in the last 15 minutes. Has anyone heard of a sick leo having this happen. Is Rex losing his tail? it seems to be decreasing in size allmost by the minute. A month ago it was so big and plump Any thoughts appreciated,

Lisa

its the end of winter and beginning of breeding season, he's just looking for some lovin'...his tail is probably skinny cuz hes coming out of hibernation, try and beef him up w/ some waxworms or just a healthy dose of mealies/crix/vitamins/calcium and no hes definitely not losing his tail
hope this helps

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Rex is not doing it out of excitment. If you want to hear about a sick leo read my posts from the last week. He's gotten so bad. He hasn't eaten in months. Our third vet appointment is tomorow. Just reading on Dr. Gecko I think the tail shake is a tremor. Poor poor poor Rex I really think it's allmost time for him to go to leo heaven He's suffering pretty bad and it's only getting worse by the minute. Thanks again,

Lisa

Here is the link. It's a great site. It was set up by one of the old school regulars, who use to frequent this forum.www.drgecko.com/index.html

Thats the site. I personally think its amazing, it has more info than any site I have read so far. I had no idea it was set up by one of the guys on this forum. Whoever it is WOW!!! and thank you, there is a lot of good work on it that has really helped me understand some of Rex's problems.
