Rich G.cascabel Mar 09, 2004 03:05 AM

A buddy and I decided we should start the year off by getting out of Az. and seeing something different so at the crack of dawn Sat morn we were headed west to good ole sunny california. We found an assortment of cal kings, gophers etc. and this pair of courting helleri.

Awesome rattlers! Excellent pictures.

Next week I'm heading down to San Diego and Baja. I'm hoping to get in a couple days of herping! The northern Pacific coast of Baja is full of red diamonds, at least it was last year.

good luck on your trip!
